Beginner Workout Plan: Start Right, Step by Step 💪

Beginner Workout Plan: Start Right, Step by Step 💪
If you’re new to the gym, one of the biggest mistakes you can make is training in your first week like you’ve been lifting for years!
At the beginning, your body needs time to adapt to the exercises, weights, and movements. Your goal isn’t to leave the gym barely able to walk 😅. Your goal is to learn proper technique, build a strong foundation, and improve week after week.
Here’s a simple and clear workout plan to help you get started the right way.

• Plank — 3 rounds × 20–40 seconds
• Walking or Cycling — 15–25 minutes
DAY 7 – REST & RECOVERY
Take a full rest day, or do some light walking and stretching.
Your body needs recovery just as much as it needs training.
HOW MUCH WEIGHT SHOULD YOU USE?
Don’t start with the heaviest weight you can lift.
Choose a weight that allows you to perform every repetition with proper technique and full control.
If your target is 12 reps, the last couple of reps should feel challenging, but you should still be able to complete them without sacrificing your form.
As you get stronger and the exercises become easier, gradually increase the weight.
HOW LONG SHOULD YOU REST BETWEEN SETS?
For beginners, around 60–90 seconds of rest between sets is usually a good starting point.
If you’re doing a heavier exercise and need a little more time, take it.
Don’t turn your workout into a race. Quality is more important than speed.
DON’T SKIP YOUR WARM-UP
Before your workout, spend around 5–10 minutes warming up with light walking, cycling, or another easy activity.
You can also perform one or two lighter sets before starting your working sets.
A proper warm-up prepares your muscles and joints for training and helps you perform better.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Don’t expect your body to completely change in two weeks.
If you stay consistent with your workouts, eat according to your goals, and get enough sleep, you’ll gradually notice improvements in your strength, performance, and physique.
Most importantly, don’t compare your beginning to someone who has been training for years.
Compare yourself to where you were a month ago.
A FINAL TIP FROM ALPHA FITNESS GYM 🟡⚫
During your first month, don’t worry about doing dozens of exercises or lifting extremely heavy weights.
Focus on four things:
Proper Technique – Consistency – Nutrition – Sleep
Build the right foundation from the beginning, stay consistent, and the results will come with time.
